| Japanese food whole seller is looking for a Supermarket Sales Rep - Hiring Status: Direct Hire - Pay : $48,000~$58,000/year + discretionary bonus - Benefit: Medical, Dental, Vision, and retirement plan - Hours: Mon through Fri, 8:00-17:00 - Business Trip: seldom go on business trips. If she/he is assigned as a neighbor island sales, goes to Maui, Kauai or big island once a month by day trip. - Car Allowance: Company reimburses the employee for the car a fixed $ amount every pay period. (currently it is $ 700 per month which is equivalent to 350 per pay as we have 24 pay periods in a year) Job Summary - Responsible for maintenance and development of customer accounts - Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales - Communicate daily with customers - Answer customer questions about products, prices, availability and uses - Recommend products to customers, based on customers' needs and interests - Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders - Consult with clients after sales or contract signings to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support - Provide customers with product samples and catalogs - Negotiate details of contracts and payments, and prepare sales contracts and order forms - Collect payment - Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales budgets and reports, keeping sales records, and filing expense account reports - Other duties as required to support on-going sales and other branch operational needs Education/Experience/Skills: - College graduate or equivalent preferred - Excellent English language skills in reading, writing, and speaking - Knowledge of Japanese language and business culture preferred - Good driving record required - Able to drive long distances - Strong attention to detail - Previous sales experience required - Prior experience in Asian food sales/distribution industry preferred - Microsoft Office computer skills required (Excel, Word) Other Qualifications: - Strong interpersonal communication skills - Excellent problem solving and analytical skills - Take initiative in completing tasks - Customer service oriented and able to catch on quickly - Able to prioritize and follow through - Be punctual and dependable - Positive attitude - Strong attention to detail - Available to travel on overnight business trips |
