| We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sushi Chef to join our upscale Japanese restaurant in Houston, TX. Responsibilities: Prepare an exceptional selection of sushi and sashimi, with a focus on premium ingredients and refined techniques. Execute elegant and creative presentations that align with the restaurant's fine dining standards. Maintain a pristine sushi bar, strictly adhering to health, hygiene, and safety regulations. Engage with guests when appropriate, delivering an elevated and memorable dining experience. Collaborate closely with the management team to continuously enhance menu offerings and overall guest satisfaction. Requirements: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sushi Chef in a fine dining environment. Extensive knowledge of traditional Edomae and contemporary sushi techniques. Expertise in fish handling, butchery, and proper rice preparation. Superior knife skills with a meticulous approach to cutting and plating. Deep understanding of Japanese ingredients, flavor profiles, and seasonal sourcing. Excellent leadership, mentoring, and organizational skills. Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, detail-oriented environment. Professional demeanor, appearance, and communication skills. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. |
