The manufacture is seeking to fill the position: Quality Control Inspector.
The company is a leading manufacturer of sealing devices.
The company has been supplying its patented fluororesin fittings, pumps, and tubing to the U.S.semiconductor industry.

Office Location: Houston, TX 77086
Status: Non-exempt, Temp to a Direct Hire (within 90 days)

Available Work Shifts: **Please select either one.

[SHIFT2] @21:00~ 06:00 (60 minutes break time)

Hourly Salary: $23.00 (or more for your skills/ experience)
Start: Immediately

JOB SUMMARY
Under general supervision, the Quality Control Inspector performs essential duties to ensure that products manufactured, machined, and/or purchased adhere to specifications detailed in engineered blueprints and in accordance with company policies and procedures. Success in this role can lead to
additional advancement/responsibilities within the role or the opportunity to pursue other positions in our global organization.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Quality Control Inspector reads and interprets engineered blueprints and drawings to confirm visual and dimensional analyses on all incoming materials and parts manufactured/assembled within the facility.
 Inspects incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducts visual and measurement tests; rejects non-conforming/damaged materials.
 Performs and documents inspections of machined parts utilizing standard tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gages etc.
 Performs visual, mechanical, and non-destructive examination of manufactured parts, to determine conformity to engineered blueprint specifications, customer requirements, and company standards.
 Completes and documents first article inspections of machined components, mid processes inspections of machined components, and final inspections of machined components.
 Permitted to initiate an NCR if any in-process defects or potential product defects are found/reported by customers.
 Judgement of suspected NCR items cannot be determined and/or shipped without QC and Manager authorization.
 Work beyond the authority listed above must be authorized by the Manager.
 Documents inspection result data; completes reports that summarize re-work and waste quantifications.
 Performs documentation and control on all measuring tool calibrations and certifications.
 Discusses inspection results and findings with those responsible and recommends any required corrective actions.

Assumes other duties and responsibilities assigned by management as required and willing/able to cross-train in multiple departments as needed.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
 Qualified candidates will possess Basic knowledge of machine shop practices and safety.
 Experience reading and interpreting engineered blueprints and geometric tolerance specifications required.
 1-2 years’ experience as a Quality Control Inspector in an ISO 9001 certified organization required.
 1-2 years’ experience in electrical/mechanical assembly or manufacturing role desired.
 Previous experience with and proper knowledge of the use and calibration of inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, optical comparator, height gages, Etc.) is required.
 Previous experience using and maintaining electronic software to track and document quality control and inventory management information is desired.
 Previous experience using MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

OTHER
 Must be able to read and interpret engineered blueprints, diagrams, and assembly schematics required.
 Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment that is fast-paced and demanding.
 Able to assemble and attach functional hardware to machined components using hand tools.
 Must be able to perform basic math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, geometry and trigonometry.
 The ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
 The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form required.
 Strict attention to detail is essential.
 Self-directed with excellent initiative and determination.
 Proven ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive, and energy.
 Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
 Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
 Ability to utilize common measuring tools: micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc. to perform QC on finished parts in accordance with company policy required.
 Ability to keep a safe and clean working environment required. The shop must remain organized and clean at all times due to the nature of the parts we manufacture.
 The position requires punctuality, consistent attendance and self-direction for the success of our operations.
 Must be able to read and speak English fluently.

EDUCATION
 Must have completed and achieved a high school diploma or better.
 ISO training and certification.
 Quality auditing experience/training.
 Technical degree and/or training in quality control or engineering related field desired.
