| A global manufacturing/trading company located in Schaumburg ( Chicago NW Suburb) is seeking a Japanese/English bilingual Purchasing Manager. Salary range:$95,000~$100,000 *Company offers very comprehensive benefit package Limited relocation assistance is available Responsibilities Procurement & Supplier Management •Develop sourcing strategies for OEM components, raw materials, tooling, and indirect services supporting production. •Negotiate contracts, pricing, and long-term agreements with domestic and international suppliers. •Manage the purchase order process to ensure compliance, accuracy, and timely execution. •Monitor supplier capacity and ensure continuity of supply to meet customer production requirements. Supply Chain & Operations Support •Collaborate with production planning, inventory control, logistics, and engineering teams to align purchasing activities with production demand. Cost Control & Compliance •Implement cost reduction and value engineering initiatives while maintaining supplier quality and reliability. Qualifications -Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred). -Minimum 7 years of procurement experience, with at least 3 years in a manager-level role in OEM or Tier-1 manufacturing. -Experience working with global suppliers, including Asia-based manufacturing partners. -Knowledge of automotive manufacturing standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, etc.) preferred. -Must be fluent in both English and Japanese |
