| The shipping company with the service of transportation of merchandise (carriage of goods) is seeking to fill the position: Japanese Bilingual Operations Coordinator. The office Location: Houston, TX 77011 Required Language: Japanese + basic English Basic Business Hours: Monday to Friday @7:30~16:30 (60 minuets lunch break) Experience Range: 0-1 year, Entry-level candidates are welcome ■ Preferred Qualifications Experience in the travel industry Experience handling defense-related projects Basic knowledge of maritime or shipping operations Status: Full-time, Direct Hire, Full benefits (After 90 days introductory period) Base Salary Range: $45,000~ (+ overtime & Bonus) Travel: Between June and September/ a few trips (3-4 times) to Latin Americas and Virginia/US (Only this period per year) Required Education: HS Diploma or higher Work Style: Onsite Visa Support: No Hiring Term: Immediately Key Responsibilities • Arrange and manage port entry and departure procedures for JSDF (The Japan Self-Defense Forces) and government vessels • Coordinate with port authorities, customs, immigration, and quarantine offices • Arrange tugboats, pilots, and berth allocations • Organize vessel supplies (fuel, food, materials) • Arrange crew immigration clearance, accommodation, and transportation • Plan travel itineraries for training programs • Arrange buses and accommodations for participants • Handle schedule changes and operational issues • Prepare quotations, cost control, billing • Ensure compliance with security requirements • Communicate in Japanese & English • Develop vendors in each port • Sales agency who promote their office to each US customer (Marketing) • Perform additional duties as assigned by management Requirements Qualifications - Native in Japanese - Travel flexibility/ ability - Confidentiality handling - HS Diploma Preferred Qualifications - Experience in the travel industry - Experience handling defense-related projects - Basic knowledge of maritime or shipping operations |
