Update: Chicago Delays Paid Leave Changes to July 1, 2024

Chicago has recently voted to delay implementation of both Paid Leave and Paid Sick and Safe Leave until July 1, 2024.  Until that date Chicago’s existing paid sick leave ordinance will remain in effect.  Chicago will remain excluded from compliance with the separate Illinois Paid Leave for All Workers Act (PLAWA), which goes into effect on January 1, 2024.
