Los Angeles County Enacts Fair Chance Act for Unincorporated Areas

Effective September 3, 2024, employers that are located or doing business in the unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County and employ five or more employees regardless of location must comply with the County’s new fair chance ordinance.  Among other things, the ordinance imposes significant changes to job postings, conditional offer letters, and procedures for considering criminal history and taking adverse actions.
