New York’s Paid Family Leave Contribution Rate, Paid Prenatal Leave for 2025

Effective January 1, 2025, the employee contribution rate and benefit amounts under the New York Paid Family Leave Law (NYPFL) will change as follows: 1) The contribution rate will be 0.388% of an employee’s gross wages per pay period, for a maximum annual contribution of $354.53; and 2) The maximum weekly benefit amount will be $1,177.32 per week.

Also effective January 1, 2025, New York employers will be required to provide employees with 20 hours of paid prenatal leave during any 52-week period in addition to existing leave entitlements.
