The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) は、2024年7月23日付発効で「Environmental/Natural Resource Economics (03.0204)」を STEM 指定学位プログラムリストに追加しました。この分野では、経済の概念を適用して費用便益分析と影響評価を組み込み、汚染、土地利用、保全政策などの環境問題を分析します。
