OSHA Updates and Extends Heat Program
On April 10, 2026, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) updated its National Emphasis Program (NEP) for indoor and outdoor heat hazard prevention, adding new citation guidance, and revising the industries targeted for enforcement. The updated NEP is effective immediately and will be in place for five years.
