DC to Increase Minimum Wage on July 1

Beginning July 1, 2024, the minimum wage will increase from $17.00 per hour to $17.50 per hour for all DC workers, regardless of the employer’s size.  The District of Columbia Department of Employment Services (DOES) notes that the minimum wage will increase each year in proportion to the increase in the Consumer Price Index, which increased by 2.8% in 2023.
